Have you heard rumors about new video games console from Nintendo? Project Café. I think that it;s designed for me, because of my coffee addiction ;) Anyway from Wikipedia and other sources it should handle HD resolution (finally!) and controller with built-in screen. It should be a little more powerful than Playstation 3 and Xbox360.
About internals: rumors says that it should be powered by custom made IBM processor with three cores, GPU should be from ATI (R700 family) and 512MB of RAM. Doesn't sounds futuristic, because PS3 and X360 tend to be outdated soon.
The biggest evolution seems to be a controller. Gamecube (<3) based with 2 analog sticks and before mentioned LCD screen.
I wonder how it will look like and what games will serve to us. Are you waiting for new console?

Kind of excited for this as Nintendo does usually do the main innovative ideas that people think are crazy then sell really well and others copy. But with that being said, I'll admit my skepticalness of the screen on the controller.
ReplyDeletereally looking forward to it.not so much playing it but just checking it out
ReplyDeletecant wait to see what it all entails, but i wont be getting one cuz ima hardcore 360 fan, been on xbox live since day 1
ReplyDeletei'm not sure i like the screen on the controller, what am i supposed to do with my flat screen now?

ReplyDeleteWOW! Must cost a fair much.
ReplyDeleteI just hope they dont delay the new Zelda for this
ReplyDeleteThe built in screen on the controller sounds like a cool new addition. Skipped out on the Wii because it sounded gimmicky but maybe I'll have to jump on board for this if it ends up half decent
ReplyDeleteso excited for if it comes out. if it does the graphics will be way better i bet and theyll surely innovate something with the technologies like they always do
ReplyDeleteshould be cool
ReplyDeleteme if nintendo is still on the casual train it gonna suck
ReplyDeletenice!

ReplyDeletescreen on controller? :S
ReplyDeleteLet it be true !!!
ReplyDeleteIt all seams like bullshit. Rob the Robot was just technology that really never made sense and certainly wasn't something we needed. Same thing here, it's all about great content.
ReplyDeleteheard about it. Think it will crash and burn tho.
ReplyDeleteJUst my humble opinion :)
I"M SO PUMPPPPED!!! For this!
ReplyDeletePlayable at E3 = anyone want to pay my way to the west coast?
Screen on controller....??? The Dreamcast tried that back in the 90's and failed Miserably... but maybe it is finally the right time for consumers to embrace it... (tablets also tried to break into the market years ago, but were rejected because it wasn't the right time (mainly due to hardware restrictions etc).
ReplyDeleteAlso, if it is AS powerful or more powerful that a 360 or a ps3, I am curious to see how much larger this new Wii will be from the old Tiny one haha.
